Speedychatz #1. SocialNetworking Ipoh

Number 10 with a Drink.
The First SpeedyChatz session took place on the 7th of December in a little town called Ipoh at one of the best Cocktail Bars, BARBEZA . The night saw 10 individuals from different backgrounds get together to laugh play and get to know who of the who of the who is doing what of the what of the what.
It was an interesting mix to know that a photographer from Austria is here and travelling the world. He stayed at the Indigenous Village up in Cameron Highlands. It was to be a 2 week stay, but he got caught hold and is now doing Photography for Pangkor Island. He and a team of people are compiling it soon.
It was also interesting to know that a Fresh Graduate back from the University of Monash in Australia is back home and mingling. From connections at Speedychatz, she got a job to build her profile at the Local Community Newspaper here.

Mohamed Faried from Egypt at the Universiti Teknologi Petronas never got a real chance to mix with locals was sharing about his Home Egypt with people here. 60++ year old Uncles were asking questions about Egypt and whether Christians there were suppressed by Muslims. They're from the Amnesty International Ipoh Local Group. And have a keen interest in human rights.

Meet Mohamed Faried (Muslim) with his good friend Beshoy (Christian) . Both from Egypt. Faried explains that all of that is just a small group of people that the media makes it sound like a big deal.

The night was very intriguing.
Everyone had a good time meeting all the new groups of people. People felt Alive and Refreshed from talking to new faces. Mixer #2 is going to be even more interesting. We look forward to more people. :)
